COMPUTER FORENSICS

Forensic services available at the Poplar Bluff Police Department, Dexter Police Department, and the Scott County Sheriff's Department

We have performed forensic examinations for numerous local, state and federal agencies, and for several agencies in adjoining states.

Our forensics lab in the Poplar Bluff Police Department is outfitted with the latest computer and mobile device forensic equipment, with (2) stationary computer forensics workstations for conducting computer forensic examinations as well as a mobile computer forensics field workstation for acquiring drive images in the field or performing complete exams outside of the office.

Cell Phone (Mobile) Forensics

With cell phone and smart phone use at an all time high, it is no surprise that evidence from a varying amount of crimes can be located on these devices.  From call logs, text messages, pictures and videos, to other forms of data, these small devices can play a crucial role in the collection and preservation of evidence of a crime.

The SCCTF Forensics lab in Poplar Bluff has 11 of the top commercial phone forensic tools within our lab, in addition to several other forensic hardware and software data acquistition tools.

We currently have the ability to conduct both logical and physical data acquisitions on several thousand different phones as well as other similar devices including smart phones, PDA's and several GPS units.

If your department has recently seized items of electronic evidence such as computers, flash drives, disks, cell phones, etc., and are in need of a forensic examination of this evidence, please contact the SCCTF at:  support@scctf.org
