INOBTR Safety Training...
June 19th - Black River Coliseum, Poplar Bluff
The SEMO Cyber Crimes Task Force is hosting a training course presented by the Missouri "INOBTR" campaign. This is a "train the trainer" type course, and participants will receive INOBTR Certification, as well as receive POST credits for attending law enforcement agents. Jeff Shackelford will be speaking to the all classes at the 5th & 6th Grade Center on March 4th & 5th. The presentations will provide students with some of the dangers associated with the internet, and safety precautions they can take to stay safe while online. Computer Crime Presentation...
October 23rd - Child Abuse & Domestic Violence Conference
Conference starts at 8:00a.m. and lasts until 3:00p.m. at the First Methodist Church located at 500 North Main St. in Poplar Bluff. Jeff Shackelford will be presenting two breakout sessions on internet crime. The sessions will inform the participants of the alarming growth of internet crimes against children and the efforts of the SEMO Cyber Crime Task Force in combating these crimes.

August 24th - Butler Co. Community Resource Council
Starts at 12:00 noon at Ryan's Steakhouse. Presentation is for members of the Butler County Community Resource Council. Presentation will consists of explaination of computer crimes against children, and the Task Force's efforts to combat them. Also, will discuss internet safety tips for parents, and other adults tasked with caring and providing for our youth. (Presented by: Jeff Shackelford)

July 30th - Poplar Bluff City Council Chambers
Press conference is open to invited guests and media. Governor Blunt will be speaking on the successes of the SEMO Cyber Crimes Task Force, as well talking about the recent award of funding through the ICCG Program. (Presented by: Jeff Shackelford)
